I Met My Campus Tribe...

University life is more than just lectures and exams; it is a journey of finding your people and creating memories that last a lifetime. Today, I want to share a special story about how a simple visit to a drama festival became the starting point of my closest friendships.

It all happened at the university of the visual and performing arts. The air was thick with creativity, as the campus was hosting a vibrant drama festival. For someone who appreciates the power of storytelling and the magic of the stage, begin there felt like home.

But little did know that this night would offer me more than just a great performance. While discussing the nuances of a play and the raw emotions displayed on stage, I struck up a conversation with a group of fellow students. What started as a simple exchange of thoughts about the drama soon turned into a deep connection.

There is something unique about a theatre atmosphere. The dimming lights, the hushed whispers of the audience, and the thunderous applause create a shared energy. In that space, strangers become friends because they are moved by the same art.

We spent the intervals sharing our perspectives, laughing at the relatable moments on stage, and admiring the talent of the young performers. By the time the final curtain fell, we weren't just individuals who happened to sit next to each other-we were a group of friends.

As we walked out of the theater into the cool night air, continuing our debate about the play's ending. I realized that these were the moments that truly define the university experience. That night at the Visual and Performing Arts wasn't just about watching a play; it was about finding a support system and a second family.

Sometimes, the best chapters of our lives start in the most unexpected places. A drama festival gave me a new perspective on art, but more importantly, it gave me friends who have walked beside me through the highs and lows of campus life.

Have you ever met someone special through a shared hobby or event? I'd love to hear your stories in the comments below!
