My Day Among the Waves.......
There are some days when you just want to leave everything behind and run away to a place of peace. Today, I felt exactly that. So, without a second thought, I headed to my favorite sanctuary- the beach.
As soon as I reached the shore, the first thing I did was kick off my shoes. There's an incredible sense of relief that washes over you the moment your feet touch the cool, damp sand. Walking aimlessly along the shoreline, letting the waves lap at my feet, I felt the day's stress slowly dissolving into the ocean.
I had brought a book along, planning to read, but I couldn't stay focused on the pages for long. It felt as if the ocean itself was telling me a far more beautiful story. I simply sat on the sand and gazed out at the horizon.
Looking at the vast sea, a thought struck me: '' Life is a lot like these waves.'' Sometimes they come rushing in with intensity, soaking us completely; at other times, they retreat quietly. Every sketch we draw in the sand eventually gets washed away by the tide. It's reminder that we are always given a fresh canvas to start over.
The exhaustion from walking was easily cured by a refreshing king coconut. And honestly, the taste of a crispy Isso Wade (prawn fritter) fried right there in the spot is an experience that never gets old. It's these small moments that make the trip truly memorable.
Watching the sky paint itself in hues of gold and purple as the sun began to set was nothing short of magical. Even though I didn't want to leave as the twilight set in, I walked back with a heart full of joy and a renewed sense of energy. Truly, sometimes we don't need grand gestures to feel better. All we need is a quiet moment of freedom like this.
