The shadow who gave wings to a dream that was about to be abandoned....

Sometimes in life, the things we've dreamed of most come within our reach, yet we find ourselves so mentally exhausted that we feel like giving up. I faced the greatest challenge of my life right after being selected for the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. In those dark moments, when I was ready to walk away from it all, my ''Sudu'' became the light that guided me back, holding my hand firmly.

Even after getting selected, there were times when various reasons made me want to abandon my university journey. Every time I felt ''I can't do this'' and tried to run away from my dreams, Sudu was right there by my side. He picked me up when I fell and pushed me forward, simply because he believed in my success even more than I did.

Sudu studies at a different university. Despite having his own exams and his own workload to manage, he never failed to be my emotional anchor. If it wasn't for his constant encouragement-insisting, ''You MUST do this'' - I wouldn't be climbing the steps of the University of the Visual and performing Arts today. Being the same age, he respected my feeling deeply while gently leading me toward this achievement.

The love isn't just about being there during the happy times; it's about showing the way when we are lost in the dark. I am only able to color my dreams today because of the new life Sudu breathed into them. Every victory I achieve in this journey belongs to him, for never letting go of my hand when i was at my breaking point.

To my Sudu, who gave wings to my dying dreams and brought me to where I am today-I will love you forever.

Without you, this dream would still be just a dream... Thank you for coming into my life!
